Whether you’ve just cruised into the Bay, are passing through, or just don’t feel like cooking tonight, the Opua Cruising Club’s Bar & Bistro is the perfect spot to unwind.
Enjoy delicious meals, refreshing drinks, and a beautiful view across the water — all in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere.
Our bar and ‘Galley’ bistro offers great value for money and is popular with locals and visitors alike. We’re open most evenings throughout the year – see our current opening times

The Opua Cruising Club Bar
The Opua Cruising Club bar serves a good selection of wines, New Zealand and imported beers, as well as spirits.
Drink prices are some of the best in the area, for example:
House Wines
Guest – $8.50 per glass
Associate Member $7.50 (on presentation of membership card)
Full Members $6.50 (on presentation of membership card)
In addition, Full Members enjoy an additional 10% Top-up bonus discount by pre-loading funds onto their membership card and using the card when purchasing drinks. For Social Members, a 5% top-up bonus applies.
Friday Happy Hour
The club also has a ‘happy hour’ between 17:00 and 18:00 on Friday, when ALL patrons will receive an additional $1.00 reduction.
Opening Times
Winter (May to September) Open 5 days a week, Wednesday to Sunday from 4:30pm
Spring (Daylight savings until December) open six days a week, Tuesday to Sunday from 4:30pm
High Summer (Boxing Day until mid-February) Open 7 days a week, Monday to Sunday from 4:30pm
Summer (October to March Daylight Savings time) Open 6 days a week, Tuesday to Sunday from 4:30pm
