Come and listen to Lisa who last year became the first women to sail solo around the Antarctic, her journey was filled with challenges including 15-meter waves, snow storms and a dramatic de-masting in rough seas due to a failure of rigging equipment.
This NZ presentation tour is a fundraiser for her next challenge, becoming the first woman to sail solo around Australia, departing in October. There will be a $20 charge at the door with all funds going towards the refit and maintenance costs of her yacht. This is a great family-friendly event and one that is enjoyable for all ages, sailors and non-sailors alike.
