The Level 3 couse is perfect for those wishing to extend their sailing skills, especially those who have already completed Levels 1 & 2 (but these are not essential to attend the course).
The course is a 5 day live aboard, skippered voyage covering:
- Voyage planning
Advanced sailing and boat handling techniques
Coastal sailing
Basic marine engine mechanics
Navigation
Night sailing
Boat safety
Dealing with some emergency boating situations.
Managing boat keeping, maintenance and crew welfare
The purpose of the course is to prepare sailors for skippering a yacht and assuming responsibility for a crew. The course will be aboard Great Escape’s Raven 31 yachts with one of their qualified instructors.
The normal price is $1490pp, but due to the short notice, you’ll pay just $1100pp, which includes all food for your 5 days aboard.
This is the perfect way to extend your sailing knowledge, gain more confidence and have fun, all in the beautiful Bay of Islands. Completion of the Level 3 course will also allow eligibility for sailors to charter our larger yachts.
