This weekend will be the first of the overnight cruises this Spring/Summer season – hooray! The cruise will leave at a civilised hour on Saturday morning and head to Waireka where there will be a BBQ from 15:00 onwards. Bring something for the barbie, and a few drinks, plus your competitive streak for the obligatory petanque session.
The plan is to stay overnight and then return on Sunday afternoon in plenty of time for the Rugby World Cup Bronze Final between Aussie and Wales, which will be on at the club at 20:30.
Weather on MetVue currently looks fine, fine, fine, with 10-15 knon sou-westers on Saturday afternoon, followed by much of the same on Sunday.
To get to Waireka, head through the Kent Passage and turn left towards Kerikeri. If you have any questions, please phone Cruising Guru Les Alderton on 09 404 0757.
