P/T Club Manager

Club Manager Opua Cruising Club

The Committee of the Opua Cruising Club Inc. has recommended the appointment of a manager for the Club. The manager reports to the Commodore and Treasurer on a weekly basis and the Committee on a monthly basis.

Duties Include

-Coordination and Promotion of Club events and activities

-Management of Staff and contractors

-Stock control & Inventory monitoring

-Day to day administrative duties including Xero and Bpos data entry and validation,  club memberships, weekly payroll & monthly accounts receivable and payable.

-Involvement with fundraising  for the club with activities such as Youth Sailing, funding for the new dock

-Manage and promote the venue hire for the club as well as looking for additional revenue streams

-Working Alongside the Treasurer to ensure we are fiscally responsible with all purchases

-Manage the Clubs Social Media and Email Accounts

-Liaise Between the Committee and the Kitchen

-Management and Promotion of Club Sponsors

-To attend committee meetings

-Assist committee members as required for duties such as organising Race Prizes and Awards

Skill set

-Administrative and computer  skills ideally knowledge of Bpos and Xero and well as

-Ability to manage staff

-Bar Managers  license

-Forward thinker with the ability to look outside the square for additional revenue opportunities as they arise

-Public Speaking during events

-Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.

Working hours

The Club Manager position is Part time position approx 18- 20 hours per week. Hours are subject to negotiation.
