Happy first of December – it’s now officially Summer! Although with last night’s weather, you’d be forgiven for wondering if we’d skipped Summer and gone straight to Autumn. That said, I did see my first flowering pohutukawa yesterday, so Christmas can’t be too far away.
Enjoy the new Tell Tales December issue which you can now download online. Printed copies should be arriving from the printer today, so I’ll get those into the club and in the post ASAP. In this issue we’ve got lots of news and reports, including some photos from the latest (and biggest yet?) OCC cruise, a report from one of our Youth Sailors, and a ‘Festive Pot Luck Panic’ recipe for anyone who’s ever found themselves in need of a salad when the fridge is distinctly lacking in lettuce!
You’ll also find all the details for the OCC Commodore’s Christmas Party on 10th December. Preparations for the Pantomime are well underway, and I’m told it will be great, so mark the date in your diary now. Remember there’s also a Children’s Christmas Party in the morning on Saturday 10th December, where you can take your kids along to meet Santa.
