November is traditionally the month when we welcome seafarers from around the world to Opua’s shores. So with the imminent influx of cruisers in mind, this month’s Tell Tales has a ‘Welcome to Opua’ and definite ‘Cruiser’ theme running through it.
Inside this issue you’ll find a guide to my favourite bits of the bay to see by boat, and there’s a great feature article by Jan Burnell on the giant clam farm she visited while cruising in Fiji. There’s also a short report on ‘Team OCC’s campaign in the recent Coastal Classic race. Plus you’ll find all the usual news and reports inside, and details of forthcoming events both on and off the water at the Opua Cruising Club.
Whether you’re a local or a visiting cruiser, we hope you enjoy this November issue of Tell Tales, and wish you a fantastic Summer sailing season in Opua.
